"Got frustrating quickly"
We tried the lessons, but they got frustrating fast. The tricky parts weren’t really explained enough, and even small things, like where to click next or what a step was supposed to mean, had us stuck longer than expected. We just needed more guidance and support along the way.

"The site has been solid for my…"
The site has been solid for my kid’s lessons. The videos and games load fast enough, which feels like an absolute miracle because I fully expect every learning website to explode the second we’re in a hurry. We had one tiny login issue last week, and I was ready to declare the whole system broken forever, but refreshing fixed it right away. Overall, no major tech headaches, which I appreciate a lot.

"Finally, math he’ll actually read"
My son usually needs a lot of reminding when it comes to anything math-related, but these comic-style lessons have been a nice surprise. He’ll actually sit down and read them on his own, which doesn’t happen often. They’re fun, but not in a silly way that skips the learning part. And I like that he’s still having to think things through. It just feels less like a worksheet and more like something he wants to open up

"Really helps me stay in the loop"
I really like that I can, you know, quickly check which lessons my son has finished and see where he might need a little more practice. It just makes it so much easier to keep up with his progress without having to ask him about it every single time.

"The books and online lessons are a great combo"
We’ve been using Beast Academy with both the books and the online lessons, they fit together really nicely. It’s been super easy for us to go back and forth without feeling like we’re juggling two totally separate things.

My kid usually watches the lesson online first, then does the workbook pages after, and that routine has worked really well. The tougher concepts feel a lot more approachable, and I love that I can quickly see what they’ve already worked on without digging around forever.
Of course, not every day is perfect, because math at home is still math at home, but overall this has been a great setup for us. It keeps things moving, feels engaging, and doesn’t come across like random extra busywork.

"Fun lessons, but the support and leveling were frustrating"
My kid actually enjoys Beast Academy, especially the comics and the more creative problems, so I really wanted this to work for us. But the adaptive part didn’t feel very adaptive. It would give my child questions that were way too easy, then suddenly jump to something much harder with not much in between. When mistakes happened, I also wish it actually explained what went wrong instead of just moving along like that was enough. I reached out for help and the response felt copy-pasted, which made the whole thing more frustrating. For the price, I expected it to be better at matching my kid’s level. It’s not awful, but we hit a wall with it quickly

"Honestly, It Was Worth It"
I wasn’t sure at first, but after seeing how much our kid loved it, the answer was clear. Total parenting win. In the grand saga of things we’ve bought for our child, this one actually lived up to the hype.

"I don’t notice every tiny detail…"
I don’t notice every tiny detail in a curriculum, but the stuff that matters to me really stood out with Beast Academy. The examples are clear and don’t feel rushed, and the comics actually help my kid remember what’s going on. I especially like that it walks through how to think about a problem instead of just jumping to the answer. Math time has been a lot calmer around here since we started using it.

"Needs a lot of parent help"
My kid can’t really do most lessons alone. I have to sit with them almost every time. It’s a bit more hands-on than I expected.

"Good, but starts to feel repetitive"
Overall it’s good and my kid does enjoy some of the problems, but after a bit they start to feel kind of the same. I was hoping there’d be a little more variety to keep things interesting. It’s better than some other stuff we’ve tried, but... yeah, my kid gets bored with it after a while

The site works really well overall, and I was happy with how smoothly everything ran. I did feel a bit frustrated at first because it took me a little while to find the lessons, but once I figured it out, things were much easier.

"Makes keeping track of my kid simple"
It’s been really easy to use for keeping track of my kid. I like that I can quickly check in without feeling like I’m overcomplicating things, if that makes sense.

I like that my kid can slow down when something’s tricky or skip ahead when it’s too easy. It’s been working well for us so far. the flexibility is the main reason we’re sticking with it, if that changed, we’d probably start looking for something else.

The subscription itself was fine, but trying to manage it was annoying. I wanted to cancel and it took me longer than it should’ve just to figure out where to do it. The instructions weren’t very clear, which made the whole thing feel more frustrating than necessary...

"Solid lessons, though they ramp up fast"
Overall, I think the curriculum is good. The lessons are well put together and I usually feel like, okay, I get where this is going. But then every so often it suddenly gets a lot harder and I’m sitting there like, wait… did I miss something? It’s not a bad thing, just a bit much sometimes.

"Helpful for Math Contest Prep"
My son has been using Beast Academy mainly to practice for math competitions, and for that purpose it’s been really useful. The problems are definitely more challenging than what he gets at school, which is exactly what we were looking for. They make him slow down and think instead of just rushing through. Some of the explanations can feel a little drawn out depending on the topic, but overall it’s helped him feel more confident going into contests
